Where Ventus works

RCM automation for the payer work,
from booking to paid.

Most of the labor in a revenue cycle is payer work. Ventus takes the four steps where it piles up, runs them on one payer intelligence layer and leaves the rest of your process as it is.

ONE LAYERPayer intelligence300+ payers, normalizedAppointment booked ↘1Verify2Authorize3Submit4Follow up$Paid

Follow-up feeds the next verification, so the cycle gets sharper each time around.

Step 1 of 4

Insurance verification

Procedure-level benefits from 300+ payers, in the chart before the visit.

What Ventus does

  • Checks each payer through its portal, a phone call or an electronic check, whichever answers
  • Returns benefits by procedure code, not eligibility alone
  • Shows the source behind every answer; missing information means unknown, not “not covered”

Written back to your system

  • Coverage by procedure
  • Frequencies & remaining counts
  • Waiting periods
  • Downgrades
  • Deductibles & maximums
  • Source evidence

Your team keeps

Patients, estimates and the exceptions a payer can’t answer.

Step 2 of 4

Prior authorization

Each request complete the first time, followed to an answer.

What Ventus does

  • Assembles the request to that payer’s requirements, starting from what verification found
  • Submits it and tracks it until the determination is back
  • Covers dental and medical procedures (not drugs or biologics)

Written back to your system

Step 3 of 4

Claim submission

Claims scrubbed before they leave, not after they’re denied.

What Ventus does

  • Prepares each claim with its attachments and the authorization number
  • Scrubs it against the payer’s rules, so preventable denials are caught first
  • Submits it, with a hand-off to a person when a claim needs manual review

Written back to your system

Claim follow-up

Every open claim checked, not chased.

What Ventus does

  • Checks status through payer portals, AI phone calls and electronic status requests
  • Brings back the reason behind each status and carries out the follow-up
  • Sends denial reasons back into the payer data the other steps use

“The Ventus team went live ahead of schedule… and consistently delivers completed verifications well in advance of patient appointments.”
Joanna FritzDirector of Revenue Cycle Management, Tend

“We evaluated several insurance verification solutions before partnering with Ventus, and the difference has been remarkable. What really sets Ventus apart is the depth and accuracy of their verifications. They’re capturing the details our RCM team actually needs, including waiting periods, downgrades, frequencies, and other benefit nuances that many vendors simply couldn’t provide. They’ve become a true extension of our Revenue Cycle team, helping us improve efficiency while giving our teams greater confidence in the information they’re working from.

Beyond the technology, the partnership has been exceptional. The Ventus team went live ahead of schedule, expanded beyond the original scope to support our needs, and consistently delivers completed verifications well in advance of patient appointments.”

What does Ventus RCM automation cover?

Four steps: insurance verification, prior authorization, claim submission and claim follow-up, across 300+ payers. Prior authorization covers dental and medical procedures; drug and biologic prior authorization is not supported. Results are written back into the systems your teams already use.

Is Ventus an RCM platform?

No. Ventus is the AI-native revenue engine for healthcare groups. It does not replace your RCM team or your practice management system; it powers them, with one source of payer data under every step.

Which systems does Ventus work with?

Ventus writes back into Dentrix Ascend, Dentrix Enterprise, Open Dental and Denticon, as well as ModMed. It works through the system’s interface, so writeback does not require a vendor API. What is written back is configured for each customer.

Can we start with one step?

Yes. Start with the step that costs your team the most time. The steps you add later use the same payer data, so each one benefits from what the others have already learned.

How long does a multi-location rollout take?

Plan for about a month, with one central setup for the group. Your group provides written authorization, business associate agreements and practice-owned payer credentials where required. A payer not yet covered goes live in about a week.

More questions (4)
What is revenue cycle management automation (RCM automation)?

Revenue cycle management automation, or RCM automation, is software that does the repetitive work between a booked appointment and a paid claim. Most of that work is payer work: checking benefits, requesting prior authorization, submitting claims and following them until they pay. Real automation does that work and attaches the evidence; weaker automation turns it into a task list for your team.

What tools or software are best for managing healthcare revenue cycles?

Most groups combine a practice management system and billing team with tools that do the payer work in the steps that cost them the most labor. Judge each tool on whether it does that work or only routes it, whether results are written back into your systems, and what your team still handles. Ventus covers insurance verification, prior authorization, claim submission and claim follow-up on one payer intelligence layer.

Which workflows and integrations does Ventus support?

Four workflows: insurance verification, prior authorization (dental and medical procedures), claim submission and claim status with AR follow-up, across 300+ payers. Results are written back into Dentrix Ascend, Dentrix Enterprise, Open Dental and Denticon, as well as ModMed, and an eligibility and claim status API is available for software teams.

How is RCM automation priced?

Contact sales for pricing. Start with the volume and staff time behind each step, then compare the work removed and the work that remains alongside the proposed fees.
